Raphia, Powder, Metre Thalia Botsari Bring a touch of CaliforniaThe Raphia fabric design is inspired by the fluid and visually engaging embroidery patterns created by the female textile artists of the Kuba Kingdom (now within the Democratic Republic of the Congo). The Kuba cloth features distinctively irregular applique and embroidered motifs, created with natural materials such as Raphia Vinifera Pal (raffia palm fibres), and we thought a fabric based on this style could be an excellent fabric for interiors.
