I thought there would be a legitimate reason to back that statement like the drag is not up to the challenge #5 I haven't fish that gear ratio enough to get a good feel, but I do fish 50# on a Silver 40t Saltist, with the 4.9 to 1 ratio, it handles it just fine with upgraded carbontex drags
